How many posters agree with Skibunny and the others that "Wrathpath" should be fired for the way he dealt with the customer in his thread?
How many agree with Wrathpath, MDovell, and myself, that even though we are in retail we are human and should not have take over-the-top rude behavior from customers? |

At this point it is 7 to 5 in favor of NOT firing wrathpath. Only 12 votes so far, however.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ So Im replying again because an incident happened to me at work today that reminded me of this post, and my personal stance. I had a customer go off on me, I did nothing to instigate it. He was angry about a policy I was trying to enforce. He became extremely loud, and then very insulting. I found myself reponding by yelling back. Although I refrained from insulting him like he was me, it shocked me later to realize I had reacted badly in terms of the shouting. (There are some really mean, nasty, ugly, crazy people out there, as you all know!!) The cashier who witnessed the incident had this to say: "we are only human. Its natural when attacked to react that way." She now regrets that she didnt call to get him escorted out of the store. I believe she is right. No matter how good we are at our jobs, I think its unfair to expect us not to react when insulted, yelled at, or belittled. Looking BACK on it, sure its easy to say there are a hundred things I SHOULDVE done differently. But in the moment, I reacted as any "normal human" would have. You never really know how you will react until you are actually IN a situation. We really have no training with this, only on-the-job experience. I will say this, if I ever see him again, I REFUSE to wait on him. Ive already written a statement for the SM in case a complaint is made against me. |

| Wrathpath i'm with you. I don't care who you are you can only take so much from a customer/a$$hole befor you blow a gasket. I had a customer (comercial) who got pissed off because we did not carry the nails he wanted in fifty lbs boxes .He got so mad that he kicked a box of nails on the floor i looked at him and said . I hope you broke your damn foot.. | |

Anyone hear of "Bunker" from LowesRedApron? why is he reading this stuff here and posting it over on Topix? Just wondering because perhaps he is banned here or something I dont know. And Gee I am ever so humiliated, I had no idea I was the laughing stock of all you decent folks over here.

Rat, sorry didnt mean to 'quote' your post. But since you asked! There is something I need to get off my chest before I go to work. On the Topix forum, Bunker posts under his own name and under about a thousand others, all with an anonymous AOL isp. I just don't think its right to copy and paste things from this forum on to another so he can respond to and be nasty because he was banned on here. In case anyone here is also a member of LRA please be warned, anything you post there is in his hands, and he has invaded several peoples private messages and posted them on other forums. He has attacked the administrator of this site and the administrator of all other Lowes forums (past and present) and continuously takes their identities on Topix to slander them and make them look bad. Those of us that are aware of what he is have all either quit his forums or have been banned. He has a blog on his very own RedApron site slamming Slek the administrator of this site. He posted all of Slek's personal identification. It will probably be gone when he sees Ive posted this. I am not trying to start anything here, I just want normal people and posters and readers to be aware that someone is copying posts to other forums, and worse, taking on numerous peoples identities and acting in hideous ways under fake IPs on forums that don't ban him. And please, beware of your private messaging on LRA, he is not above reading them. ps: if anyone decides to investigate TOPIX, which I don't highly recommend- its a wasteland of troll crap; realize that all the AOL posts are him. Take my word for it, or you can discern it for yourself if you wade through the garbage far enough. |
