I have a question for those of you with greenhouses. As long as Ive been with our Lowe's, everything in the greenhouse has fallen under the duties of the Outside Lawn & Garden Staff. All T-A-T, patio furniture, pots, etc.

Now I hear about some other stores, in other regions, whereby the Seasonal staff handles all greenhouse duties (besides plants).

I am very curious as to how other stores manage their greenhouses~it seems like this stuff really should be 'seasonal' but I never thought about it before now.

In my store all patio furniture "belongs" to Inside Garden. The only thing we are responsible for in the GH are the plants and orchid food and soils which are on the wall when you enter the GH.

It's hard to believe that you have that responsibility also. There is so much that OSL&G encompasses that it amazes me that you have patio furniture to worry about too!

What the heck does Seasonal do in your store? Confused

This post did not recieve the response I was hoping for. I will just assume that few readers here actually have greenhouse stores. Or pwrhaps my post was just too boring to bother with...! ((thanks sunflower for the reply, and I am jealous of your situation))

Along a similar vein, though, how far is everyone along with the patio furniture resets?? We are scrambling but havent gotten the displays finished let alone the bays stocked. The beams are set, and about 3/4 of the patio furniture is done-and that is it. We are supposed to have the DM walk tomorrow, that wont be pretty....

Oh and we put the cut Christmas trees to $5.00 today, and have maybe 20 left. I hate having trees left after Christmas, thats just depressing somehow.

No greenhouses in any of the stores I've worked in or have visited.

Our outside garden Department takes care of the Greenhouse, but inside garden gets credit for most of the stuff that is sold out thier except the plants.
