of course if the associates say it, they climb all over you. "don't ever say that ! find the answer for the customer ", or something to that effect.

but now, the scheduling manager in the store is saying that to ASSOCIATES. LITERALLY. that person said that to 3 people i know of , including moi. now, the only associates she deals with are the on-call people. you have a question for her ? too bad. it's not her job now. you'll have to take it up with your manager now.

hmmm..... wasn't it just a year ago when we were told NO GSM"S were allowed to go into the schedules to make any changes ? they had to tell/leave a note for the scheduling manager and they would make any and all changes.

that's all changed now. the gsm's have been given back the "power". let's all see how long this lasts before the schedules are all screwed up. the gsm's have already screwed up the vacation/personal day requests.

can't wait for the - what's it called again?_ the new thing coming up ....MY SCHEDULE PLUS ??

awww. the scheduling manager might lose their jobs cuz they won't be needed anymore ? awww.... waaaaaaaa.... i have no sympathy for them now. see how they like getting screwed out of a nice cushy job. Rock on! Rock on!

hmnnnn, in our store it is still only the scheduling manager who can make the change in schedule. Gsm's are still not allowed to touch anything.

To a certain degree, I know how that feels as an associate. I cannot relate about the scheduling manager part since I have a set schedule, but it seems that whenever I do something out of the ordinary, I am suddenly completely responsible for it, or any little mishap at times is somehow my responsibility. I should tell them next time that my name is not Conner Kent to see what they have to say.

On a tangent note, last week, we had a floor move, which involved four vendors being shuffled around. I entered at 4:30 AM to do the floor move by myself. One person was handling six tables, one etagere, and three large back walls by himself without much disorder and griping. Meanwhile, more than six sales people were handling one small area with two tables and two shelving units as though they were drinking cod liver oil. I was still doing the floor when the store was open. A sales person told me that some of the older samples had only one sticker on them. I told her "there's the ticketing equipment. Go make them yourself." Apparently, she did not like my response.

Today, a customer asked me for help finding a dress, and I told her that it wasn't my job to find her a dress. So she went about shopping and found a few to try on. She wanted to know what I thought of them, and I told her that it wasn't my job to make a decision for her on which dress to buy. She left all of the dresses that she didn't want in the fitting room, but I reminded her that it isn't my job to clean up after rude people, and sent her right back in there to get those dresses! I told her not to even THINK about not putting them in the right places, b/c it is not my job to go around straightening up the store! When she was done putting away the dresses that she didn't want, she came to the register and asked me how much the dress would be with her use your card discount. I told her that it was not my job to be a calcultor. Then when I rang her up, she tried to shove her card at me, but I told her that it was not my job to swipe her card for her. When the sale was done, I circled and signed, and told her to be sure to go to the website and give me an OUTSTANDING review!

MAYcylady we have had a complaint issued against you, I tried to explain to my boss that it wasn't my responsibility to discuss this matter with you but he insisted that we speak. I need to see you in my office right now, and bring your name tag, store card, and pricing gun with you.

So where were you with those wigs???? I asked for you by name, Huds, and told them to tell you that MAYcylady was there with her Donald wig on, and NOTHING! They looked at me like I was crazy!

They pulled that on me at Lowe's, I told them to hand me the damn gun. It is a pricing gun and they can shove their initials where sun doesn't dare shine!

I'd have given a hand gesture, but Lowe's has so many cameras that I didn't dare take the chance!

Oy! How I hated that place! To this day I won't go in there if I don't have to!

No offense, but I gave everyone the head's up that you might make the trip over. And because we treat everyone equally at my store, I told them to offer you the same level of outstanding service we give to all our other customers.

Oh, and the precious, precious wigs have been moved to an undisclosed location deep within the bowels of the store. (Seems fitting, no?)

HUDS! Thats the prelude! I'm afraid you signed over the rights to that song when you got your last pay check - you just didn't know it. It was actually written in small print on the check that your endorsement and acceptance of this check releases Macy's and the RH Macy theatre of all legal liability towards using the song in conjunction with MAYCICAL The Musical. All rights are reserved and void where prohibited by law and under an agreement with General Electric Capital Revolving Credit and President Barrack Obama.
