| According to in-site, we get an extra 10% on purchases from June 10-15 for a total of a whopping 30%!!! (in lieu of a raise) | |

| Actually, we don't get 30%. First they take our usual 20% off, and then 10% more off of THAT amount. | |

I had to take a "bonus" b/c I "make too much", but I thought that most associates got raises. |

If you use your MACYS FUNNY MONEY you dont get that extra 10 percent. Specially in our region we got a flyer stating it  but TEAM COUNTS OR WIN whatever

| I been knew that, they gave out the hand outs last week. Why your store did not let you know. You will still get the extra 10% back of house which is 30% back of house discount with Macys money, but you can't use the use your card event with macys money. | |

Hmmm...
I had to go to Lenscrafters today, so I walked down to Macy's. I've lost 2 pant sizes and I am working on my third size now. I found a rack that 70% off. Good, Eh? Well the sign said 70% off when you take 40% off the already marked price + use your Macy's card and save an additional 20%. When I went to scan one of the pairs of pants that I picked out it rang up for 30% off. I gave up and just left to go pick up my new glasses. |

When it was announced in our morning rally that we won't get the triple discount (20% Macy employee discount, 20% in-store discount, plus using Macy Money), the employees booed! Normally the employees have no reactions during these rallies (we've been made into zombies by Macy's), so it was a refreshing change to see them show some negative reaction. Of course, our store manager wasn't at the rally. I don't know if they would have dared boo if the SM had been there! |

It is 30% back of house. They are combining the 20% + 10% back of house. If they will take the 10% in front of house then it won't be 30%. |

| From what I understand, you will get 20% off, and then 10% off of that amount, which is not 30%. This is the way that they have done it in the past, perhaps it is different this time, but I don't think so. | |

When macys had gave us an extra 20% back of house before it added to 40% back of house. This week customers get 20% back of house when they open a macys card not 15% than 5%, it is the whole 20%. |

Yes, that's right. But the extra employee discount is your regular 20%, and then 10% off of the sum.
I don't really know about this front and back of the house stuff. Also, if you use Macy's Money, you do not get the UYC discount, but you do get your extra 10%. This was clarified in the meeting today. |

Front of house means using a coupon which shows up on the register, back of house means shows up on your bill statement. It is never like that. I bought some stuff yesterday and today it took off 30%. It always been like that on back of house. |

it was already announced thru the grapevine (natch) at our store that you CANNOT USE MACY MONEY WITH COUPONS !!!
hey, they're stupid, but not that stupid ! which sucks, cuz macy money - 50% - is always better than 20%. IF you are buying something that cannot use coupons (electrics, for example or cosmetics) then of course use macy money for 50% off and regular 20% back of house (bill) discount. but do the math. if it is better to use a 20% discount and your regular discount, than do it that way, tho i cannot imagine that is ever better than 50% off!!! course, when i buy a gift or actually anything that is not for me, i don't like to use MM in case it has to be returned/exchanged. it gets to be a real hassle when the MM is involved. |
