Six years already eh. Thanks for the reminder and the memories.

Who among us were here opening day and how many still are, any idea?

I'm not sure about opening day on THIS one. I know there are some who predate me by a few days so I must have been slow out of the gate.

I was the first member to sign onto the original Retailworker while he was still putting it together... was there for a while but since there were no other members, I kind of stopped. A couple of months later I checked and there were several more people and I've been here almost continually ever since except from the time immediately after my stroke until the Kmart/Sears takeover was announced.

Still dropping by to catch up with everyone...

The group saved my sanity, proving that I wasn't alone with my observations and misery!

Thank You to Slek for being there six years ago, when we needed him, and for continuing today to provide a space for us to gather in!

Thanks, GoodFella. Sorry it took me a while to get back to reply.

Truth is, I have a great job in a library where I am happily overwhelmed at the challenge of so many books to enjoy, but after almost five years, I still don't make dollar-wise there what I made at the store. I have held two and three jobs simultaneously nearly the whole time since leaving the store, which is fine, as many people today have two and three jobs! I've met tons of people and have enjoyed all of my non-sears experiences.

Life won't be the same, though, when slek's retail-worker goes away. Our forum is like a photo album to assure us that it was all very real.

I'll miss each and every one of you when that day comes...

Uh.. hopefully WE won't be dying. There's always email and other routes and maybe something else will turn up. Just don't lose touch, that's all.

Hi Still! Glad to see you're still popping in but how about saying something once in a while?
