Ok, I was so pissed today, I almost walked out.

Those GD scorecards!!! I was all set to go to another department (my GSM knows how much I wanted a change), when come to find out my scorecard from 2 weeks ago put me on the bottom of the list, which brought down my YTD card.

First of all, I only worked 3 days that week. Second, the majority of kids in our area already went back to school. Third, my sales goals were still very high and with no customers, NO ONE met their sales goals in my department.

Zero points=no change in department. Another fucking Christmas in kids!

God, I hate my job!

Sorry to hear about that, bell. Was the scorecard data from two weeks ago, or was it the scorecard that you should have seen two weeks ago (with data from two weeks before that)?

My trouble's always been trying to figure out exactly which week is referenced by the scorecard, because even one week ago seems like ancient history.

Two things from today:

1. The store is asking all team members if we want to be scheduled more hours than designated by our classification, meaning full-timers would be able to be scheduled more than 40 hours a week if we agreed to it. I suppose that means we're not doing much holiday hiring this year.

2. I had the sweetest regular customer hand me an item from a clearance rack (with a "50 - 75% off" header on it) and asked me to scan it. With a polite smile she said, "I'm not a mathematician, just a shopper."

Ooh, snap. I want the t-shirt. Cafe' Press, here I come!

sorry you had a bad day, bell. i did walk out so to speak today. on monday (labor day) i was 45 minutes LATE to leave cuz of poorly scheduled schedule - ya, you read that right.

then today i told THREE MANAGERS ABOUT 5 TIMES TOTAL that i had to leave a certain time cuz i had a dr. app. 1/2 hr after i was supposed to clock out...and again no coverage. i was in a "high theft area" but finally called my mgr and said i was leaving the floor. NOW. i locked up the sensor / and keys and walked out. i don't even care at this point.

they HAVE to get their SHIT TOGETHER. now there are 18 openings in our store...and it's all regular slots. they are gettin desperate now. Doh!

I don't like signing anything unless I've read the accompanied attachment. I guess it's from the old phone company days. We NEVER signed anything without first thoroughly reading. Signatures are held against us.

We had an incident today where a customer returned a JC Penney shirt with a tag that was ours (clr). The customer forgot her receipt so when we found out what happened, (well after she left) we voided the transaction.

We always have integrity, not our customers. Thumbs Up

Oh yea here's another situation that really pissed me off yesterday.

I was temporary in another department yesterday (ODS) to cover a lunch. The store manager came to the department, talked directly to the other associate, didn't even look at me, didn't say HI to me, didn't say go to hell, didn't say go screw yourself, NOTHING! He totally ignored me.

he's such a prick.

We have an SM in our store just like that. There are only about 3 employees in the whole store he will speak to.

I've had customers ask me not to sign them, but being the ornery bitch that I am, I sign them.

OK, on Friday (10-9) our store has this HUGE visit from some big muckity-mucks from corporate. All energy is spent on cleaning, folding, recovery, etc. What a flipping' waste of time. I wish these visits were unannounced. The SM is a nervous wreck, not to mention my GSM is on our asses to fold, dust, etc.

It would be nice to have the management care about the store all the time instead of when we have visitors.

and BTW, the SM got a complaint letter from a customer on me. Ya see, supposedly, I didn't say HI to her, smile at her or tell her to go to hell. She wrote a letter now I have to have a closed door meeting with the SM tomorrow. (Where is my union steward?) OH joy. Well, I guess this is one way he'll talk to me. Otherwise he NEVER says a word to me.

I have an idea for you. In your meeting with the SM, don't smile at her or say hi to her but tell her to go to hell!

Well after all the big-wigs left, the SM went home early and didn't talk to him today (but he will next week). I guess the visit went good. The MMR was a little annoyed that our Greendog/Epic Threads dept. wasn't bigger. I'm just glad I wasn't there this morning.

I would love to tell him to Go to Hell. That would make my day. I was actually in a good mood today. I heard a tribute to John Lennon today on the radio. (he would have been 69 y/o today)

Is that why they played "Come Together" like 1,550,423,043,021 times today at the store?
