I went to an autozone for a car battery and a noticed they had an armed security guard in the store. Is that normal for an autozone to have a security guard in the store? Usually when I go into a store I don't see an armed guard, I just found that interesting. Is Autozone a high theft store or something?
Thanks

I can't answer from experience, but I'd have to say the reason behind having an armed guard at that specific store would more than likely have to do with the amount of crime in that area.

Yes I think your right. The Autozone that I went into was in an area where to be honest was kind of a dump. The store was fine but the neighborhood in the surrounding areas were run down and probably gang ridden. Maybe the store had problems with theft, burglaries, robberies and so forth so they contracted an armed guard to monitor the area. I was about to say not all Autozones are like this because the one I usually go to was in more of a peaceful, suburban area and there was no armed guard inside. So what you said makes perfect sense.
