appliance specialists still getting spiffs as well as salary , but if they go down on price they lose their spiffs.

Spiffs are based on margin. If the specialist lowers the price he also lowers the profit margin. If it was a low margin item to begin with that leaves not much left over for spiffs.

did you know if you jump on a register when they call a code 3 you increase your margin, any sale on the register counts toward your sales. FYI

If you are an appliance specialist and fully certified you are entitled to any spiffs from the department. It does NOT mean that the lower priced the item the lower the spiff. It is all based on the manufacturer. Consequently the better names usually cost more therefore resulting in a higher spiff. However it is not based on the price of the appliance.
