Surprised I was employed with Lowes for 9 1/2 years. Called to the back one day and fired for leaving early. Lowes mistake--I had just changed departments 2 weeks before and had no posted schedule in back. My dept manager who does the schedule had been out with his daughter very sick. He stated that he had done 4 weeks of schedules for us they just didn't get printed and post with the rest. After trying to get my schedule for a Friday-( this after manager told me I was pretty much mid because we had closer only in dept) The computer schedule said 9am-6pm So I worked 9-6:05. The next week I was fired because my schedule -which was not posted stated 12-9. I have never even been written up for leaving early--not to mention two employees left an hour early the Sunday before without telling anyone. They are still employed I've seen employees walk out the door "quitting" and not come back for rest of day--they are still there. Anybody else out there had anything like this happen to them. I worked too Hard for too many years ---not to mention my stock--that was my old age money. The manager I had for about 6 years immediately tried to rehire me at his new store, but I was put in as a no re-hire. THe manager who fired me was with our store for about a year. If management had even bothered to look at what time clock in instead of just what time I left--Lowes is a great company those of you who are still there--stay it pays in the end--unless you get fired!!!

Don't let them get away with it, It's their mistake . Get a cut throat lawyer and let him take care of it. If you have the copy of the schedule give it to him. If any employee seen the schedule get them to help you winthe case. Do all you can to further the action. 9 1/2 yrs should tell them that your a respected employee to the company. Keep your head held high you owe it to yourself.

I too was terminated last week for durning a refund rebiill on a sale that i did and some one els happen to be log on the computer. that person did not even work in appliance and was not intitle to my spiff I was the sale specialist in the appliance dept. and since I did not get along with this young store manager who has only been there for 2 yrs and I have 9 1/2 yrs iIguess he was going to show me who was boss, but the funny thing about this is we do refund rebill all the time for one reason or another he has even had me to do them, so I don't see why this one was any different. I also joined the class action suited last yr I am not sure if that had something to do with my termination or not but time will tell. it funny we have this guy who was convicted on drugs charges and went to jail while he was employed by Lowes and they made him a ASM. unreal, but he is young and that is what this company wants
anyone over a certain age or if you been with this company for more the a year well you no longer have job security. you become a liability.

Lowe's policy is that no one can be put down as no rehire, unless for something really drastic.

In our store ALL copies of the schedule are behind locked glass. The only way we would have a copy is to photograph it!!
