I've been working for Sears for a few years and I must say they could give a sh#t about there employees. I have never seen a company with such a high turn over. The 6/22 meeting was nothing but a Walmart rally and I did not hear one thing they were going to do for us.

What? You didn't hear what the almighty Sears was doing for us??? They listened to us and gave us exactly what we asked for!!! We wanted to get paid decently on OPP merch, whamo, better commissions. We wanted free delivery to match our competitors, whamo, free delivery or 0% for 6 months. We wanted better price matching flexibility, whamo, more models to match.

What we didn't ask for was the 18% overall pay cut resulting from the CUT in commissions at the mid and high end. We didn't ask for a computer to call all of our customers for "feedback" and annoy them with one more computerized call. We didn't ask for all flexibility in our scheduling to be eliminated resulting in us being available 24/7 (to facilitate them being able to schedule associates when business dictates).

IF their advertising works, IF their pricematching and free delivery everyday works, IF they draw in more traffic, we MAY recoup part of what we lost on the commission cuts. Will we make more money? Doubtful. Will we break even? Perhaps. Sears was correct in saying they didn't change our targeted income. Unfortunately, we are typically making MORE than the target, so it's just a play on words really.

At our store at the end of the meeting we had to sign our names on these posters saying fast, friendly and In stock and then hung them in the lounge. The first meeting with all associates then broke up into groups by department and then it was just what they wanted you to do for Sears.

Funny how that works, an employer wanting their employees to do things for them. What an interesting concept!

People I know that there are a few bad managers... I know also that there are some inexperienced managers.... I also know that there are professional managers that will help you make this company survive....

If it does indeed survive, it's only because of the people who sell appliances.... that is the unvarnished truth.... I'm sorry if I offend those who ring a POS all day..... their jobs are vital too... but the real burden rests on the Home Appliance segment of our business....

It's do or die.

That's the truth People...... Please save this company... The Agreements.... extremely important..... walk a customer on a cheap piece of merchandise.... NEVER....... if your store management says otherwise, challenge them on our SOS philosophy....

WE MUST HAVE SALES NOW..... ALL SALES WE CAN GET.... DO NOT WALK ANYONE... DO NOT LIE TO ANYONE..... DO NOT DO ANYTHING UNETHICAL.... JUST DO WHAT YOU LOVE DOING..... Talk to people... They will trust you.

Yes! To a certain point I agree with you, but think about it it is all of us as a whole that run the ship. A customer could buy and appliance from you, but get mad at the cahsier in hardware and then turnaround and cancel that sale. SO it not one dept., it's all of them Thumbs Up
