I know that both main parties (republicans and democrats) recieve funding from different organizations (republicans mostly through big business while democrats traditionally recieving through unions), and there are pluses and minus to both sides. My question is that for the current presendential election with a potential of 100's of millions of dollars between the two sides, how of you on this site believe that the money was given to truly do the right thing for the majority of Americans?
Honestly think about it, if i was a big business i would only be giving money to benifit my bottom line. If i was a labor union i would be doing the same. So how many of you think the money is really intended to do the right thing for everyone?

I do not think any politcal money is done for the right of the people in this country. If this were true the men over their in Iraq would not be dying over Bush's lies. Think who is in office I believe the democrats do it for like you said Unions, lawyers and court reform not as damaging but still the bottom line is the little guy is screwed all the way around

I would agree with you lowmorale that the little guy does get screwed a lot. Honestly i believe that an increase of government money to canidates would help bring more choices of politcial canidates into the public view. I think it is sad that Americans for the most part are dominated politcally by a two party system. I think if we had another strong party in the public view it might encourage more people to vote if they believe that their voices can be heard.

So 8 people have taken the poll and not one person thinks that the major parties do the right thing for the majority of Americans. If there is anyone who thinks that one party does do what is right for the majority of Americans please post your comments.
