During the week of December 15th alone there is enough news on Walmart to lead one to believe that their 15 minutes of fame are about to start ticking on a clock.First in an Forbes article for December 13,2004 financial analyst are begining to question Walmart's 'cannabilization' strategy of obtaining of dominating a particular market by saturation which includes loosing propositions/stores-note:Home Depot follows same strategy- http://www.forbes.com/commerce/2004/12/13/cx_dn_1213mondaymatchup.html?partner=yahoo&referrer .Then on Mon Dec 14 CBS Market Watch posted a story about pricing on TVs and Walmart was NOT the lowest. Then today Wed Dec 15,3 Walmart executives were fired for undisclosed reasons http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/041215/wal_mart_firings_3.html .Won't even go into their pricing strategies/policies or worker lawsuits.Must also mention the Frontline Documentry on Walmart in November.

Thumbs Up I have made a point to never shop walmart since I read about their policy regarding birth control ( won't cover it under their health insurance ) and viagra ( covered ).
While it is a private comany and Sam has the right to run it as he sees fit, it is also my right to protest by not spending one thin dime in his crappy stores.( My asumption, yes. )
That said, while I hope that their 15min. is up, has there been data compiled to show how walmart is doing compared to say, Target? Maybe they're just in a slump. I'd be interested to know why the execs were let go, didn't sam fire one for building to ostentatious a home? Something about flaunting the wealth.
