Very Happy **TOO CUTE…we read in the San Diego Business Journal that fast food
outlets are seeking ways to cut personnel costs. One way is to eliminate
that person with the headset on at the drive thru window who takes your
order. Outsource. You drive up to the menu board and punch a button and a
voice with an Indian accent takes your order. That person is actually in
India. Your order is then punched into a computer in New Deli (huh?) and
shows up in the kitchen of Burgers R Us where the food stack is composed
and delivered to you at the “next window.” How great is this?

Damn folks, this is getting downright ridiculous. All the terrorist have to do to disrupt a major portion of the US economy is take out a sweatshop call center in New Delhi. Very Happy

Tell me how this works. We received a box of tea during the holidays. The side of the box said the actual tea was from the USA but it was packaged in Sri Lanka. Very Happy

Can you imagine how little they pay those Sri Lankans if it's cheaper to send tea there to be packaged and then send it back here to be sold? Day-Um!!!

I'm thinking of outsourcing my daily bowel movements to Sri Lanka. Some poor Sri Lankan can probably do twice the output for half the pleasure. If I do outsource, will they come back all nicely packaged and stamped "Made in Canada, Packaged in Sri Lanka"? Or is that only for tea?

This is getting ridiculous Mad

Reminds me of one of my favorite movie quotes...

Quote:
Because they know all they solda ya was a guaranteed piece of shit. That's all it is. Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed, I will. I got spare time. But for right now, for your sake, for your daughter's sake, ya might wanna think about buying a quality item from me.

Damn if I didn't find another outsourcing one. This is from the San Francisco Bay Guardian in their annual Off-Guard awards or "Offies" given to public figures for saying really stupid or bizarre sh... er...stuff in unguarded moments.

Blessed are the globalizers, for they shall make a fast buck

Catholic priests in the United States, claiming they're suffering from overwork, have begun outsourcing ritual prayers (which parishioners pay for) to low-cost priests in India.

Yes, I liked that one too, Nofsdad. I posted it in your thread back in June.
