Today I had a vendor on the electical reset go off on me. He was taking the tall ladder(not the 30 footer) under the light cloud. I asked him where he was going as he headed through the cut off in aisle 2, if you are going under the light cloud that ladder won't fit. He starts screaming at me that he has done this a thousand times, I told him "ok". Next thing I hear is a crash. I went to the manager and told her what he said, he comes up screaming behind me. She tells him to chill out becaue we have customers. I also asked the manager if he was allowed to have pop on the floor. He had 2 open cans in a cart. This guy is definetly in the wrong line of business. I bit my tongue with this guy today, but tomorrow if he starts again I won't be able to stop myself. My tongue is bloody enough. I called the department and they said he was an arrogant ass to them too. Shocked Evil or Very Mad

Classylady,
I have seen vendors fired by Department Managers in my store. Our molding vendor puts the molding in the rack for us every week and I am talking a full stack rack. Most of the vendors do a geat service for us, but they do know or should know who they work for!!!

I was really surprised that the ASM did not order this guy out. She did talk to his boss and he was slightly less hostile, but not by much. When I was in a department, I had a vendor ordered out and not to ever step foot in my department again. I did see him last month in my old department. The rest people are mostly pleasant, but most come from temp agencies. When this guy was going under the light cloud with a tall ladder, I thought he might be one of the temps. By his screaming at me, I then just figured he was a jerk. Most temps are not that rude. The regular vendors are great, most helpful in the departments, know their stuff, help customers. I was talking about the reset people. Later yesterday, the same guy started yelling because we had no 3x5 labels. I informed the ASM several hours before we had none, they have been on order for awhile, but have not come in. He demanded to see the SM, I just walked away.
