This happens to that site all the time. Why do we bother?

The class went better than any other class I have done!

The students asked really great questions, and despite my being warned that they were a quiet group, they warmed up to me nicely. The teacher even commented on it. I think it's because I don't look my age, and I made a point of addressing them as peers Rock on! Cool . A couple of the students are going to come to my regular sunday workshop for more in depth instruction, and the teacher want's to "do lunch" sometime, and have me over to her home for a personal cosultation! I hope this turns into a regular gig, I had a ton of fun with these girls. And, of course there's always the upside of management being aware of my willingness to go beyond my humble paint desk.

Thanks for all of your suggestions, and encouragement! I was really nervous last night, and you guys had great advice to talk me down from my tree.

BTW - Scruffy's not at work, he is on assignment, as per ME, to watch the rest of the episodes of Deadwood and get up to speed on the show.

BWAAAHHAHAHAHAHAHA Evil or Very Mad -another convert.

I told him to catch up to us here, and gave him the link. I hope he'll be around later.

Speaking of T.V., did anyone else catch American Idol? I cannot believe what the greek pulled off this week!! Amazing.

It's about time you showed up. Happy camper and I have been the only ones here. Get over to the Happy Lowes, we are going to have a version of speak your mind to the customer.

I believe Deadwood is on HBO. Not a bad program.

Deadwood is a program on HBO.

If you are easily offended by language and violence, you will not be able to get past these historically correct depictions of this mining town's history, and the shows rich character develpoment and language ( which, when not coarse, reflects the victorian education most people of the era used in conversation) to truely give the show it's due.

I found the first episode I saw put me off a bit, but as I watched the story unfold, and came to understand that the cursing was just a small piece of the pie, I was able to look past this, and take it as the humor it is intended to be.

And it is funny. And smart. And ... well, watch it yourself. C'mon, I dare ya!
