| I work for Home Depot and I'm a Department Head who is a little pissed because I've been screwed out of ASM a couple of times...there's a new Kitched Designer who makes $3 and hour more then me, etc.... I was offered a specialist job @ lowes and I don't know if I should take it. The money will be better, but I don't know about the overtime issue. Has anyone made this move? Is it a good idea??? | |

| See my thread, "Do not go and work for Lowe's" on the Sears forum. The overtime is BS, plus you have to give up all semblance of family life. | |

i worked at lowes for 2 yrs, started as an hourly, then specialist,then dept mgr, i liked being a specialist the best, i actually made more money as a specialist than a dept mgr. you will work at least 48 hours. i left recently so i could have my life back. no more weekends or late nights and much more money. as you might of guessed i left retail
lowes is a great company if you like retail, i would say go for it |
