I work for Home Depot and I'm a Department Head who is a little pissed because I've been screwed out of ASM a couple of times...there's a new Kitched Designer who makes $3 and hour more then me, etc.... I was offered a specialist job @ lowes and I don't know if I should take it. The money will be better, but I don't know about the overtime issue. Has anyone made this move? Is it a good idea???

See my thread, "Do not go and work for Lowe's" on the Sears forum. The overtime is BS, plus you have to give up all semblance of family life.

i worked at lowes for 2 yrs, started as an hourly, then specialist, then dept mgr, i liked being a specialist the best, i actually made more money as a specialist than a dept mgr. you will work at least 48 hours. i left recently so i could have my life back. no more weekends or late nights and much more money. as you might of guessed i left retail
lowes is a great company if you like retail, i would say go for it
