Due to the anticipated number of displaced RW members and the nature of the forums themselves, I have enlisted the services of several long-time members of the MFD OpenForum to act as temporary mods until such a time that we can nominate and elect mods from within this community.

As I imagine it will take at least a few weeks for everybody to get to know one another again and for everybody to get back into the swing of things, I don't anticipate running nomination threads any time soon.

In the meantime, let's do what we can to increase the forum membership by letting people know we're here, so when we do run elections they will be as fair and democratic as possible.

Your thoughts?

sleK, how do you want to do a vote on this?
Seems like you might want us to kinda start to take charge of this site?
And I think it is time.
I think that maybe kanaka should be be one of the first persons voted in on this because he seems like he is already doing the job to keep the peace here.
And doing it very well BTW.
Plus he seems like he was a big part of getting this set up.
I have some other folks I think that might be good too on this but let's start here I think? ~GoodFella

I would love to be a moderator. It would be nice to have some repersentation in the control of this sight and the flow of things from some of the younger people because we to are important to this company. So if knowone minds i would hope to gain their respect and their trust over time to help be a moderator for this sight. I really want to play my part in helping shape the future of sears and what better way to start then by taking a leadership role on this very own site. I promise if i get elected i will never whoot whoot again Smile.

This community hasn't had enough time to develop.

Admittedly, being an optimist, I anticipated faster growth, hence the "at least a few weeks" statement, but, as growth has been slow, a mod vote now would result in nothing more than a popularity contest.

Further to the above, I will not hand out administrative privileges to individuals who have not demonstrated a sincere interest in the future viability of the community by means of quality contributions to the community.

Alrighty then,

The question I thought was easly understood, however I will try again.

When this site was first opened up. We were told at that time the intended purpose was to have some of the members of this very site invited to help moderate the very same. At no time since the very first has the idea been brought up by any of the present moderaters. So the question I am asking is as follows.

Would the present board of moderaters please post each of there own views on the subject of as to when and or if this might be done in the future and how ?

With respect,
Ratchet
