Hello? Anyone still here?
There was a rule a few years back that management had to have the staff schedules posted a certain number of weeks in advance...I think it was maybe 2...or 3?
If anyone recalls what the time frame was, please let me know.
Also, is anyone up on the rules about management changing staff schedules without informing staff of the changes? Is it really the employee's "responsibility" to phone in on their days off and make sure their schedule is the same as it was when they left the previous week?

Prior to the gutting of the Employment Standards Act in 2002, employers were required to provide 24hr notice of schedule changes. My guess is that any rules regarding posting schedules were in the same repealed section.
Tell 'em to stuff it anyways. You have no responsibility to your employer unless you're on the clock.

eff it! They tried giving me the ol' "Can't you do it for the team?" guilt trip because I didn't stay until 9 when I was originally scheduled to 7 and had no idea that my schedule had been changed in the three days I was off work.
Totally tried making it look my fault even though if they bothered to make sure there were enough available staff in the store, this kind of shit wouldn't happen.
Now to get back at them, I think I'll be fifteen minutes late today

Quite the contrary. It's a pretty easy job. Just the usual policy stuff that gets annoying.
