I just heard that for the first time in a very long time.

Does anybody really know what that song was about? There's lots of theories, but does anybody really know?

(Back in the 70's many songs had hidden messages. I am the Walrus comes to mind, too.)

I think it's another stoner song.

Chicago was my favorite band back in the day. One of my first albums was Chicago Transit Authority, which was the original band name. Rock on!

Lamm says it's a song about writing a song.
Okay... but ...
Written by a stoner(?) Back in the day (70's) drug use was rampant in bands, we all know that. It makes me wonder about the twisted messages we grew up with Very Happy .

Not complaining... I still think music from the 60's - 80's is the best! You know, back when music actually words and was written to be "listened" to - and not written to be "shown" on MTV.
Don't you wonder how a song like 24 or 6 to 4 would be made into a clip for MTV? Very Happy
Psychodelic lights - and streams of pot smoke drifting up would be a must. Picture a guy waking up laying on a busy street in London, looking up at a large spinning clock... colored lights spinning through the fog... having another toke... wondering what he's doing there but not really giving a damn.

Lava lamps, strands of beads hanging in the doorway, "black light" posters on the walls in your older brother's bedroom . . . Cool

I'm trippin' and the strongest thing I've got in the house is Folger's coffee. Very Happy

You should make videos for classic songs mags. How 'bout Jefferson Airplane's "Go Ask Alice?"
