What are some of the surveillance or observation techniques used by your managers to observe you-the employee. Not talking about theft or stealing but how do they "observe" you.Had several managers watch you on the security cameras to see how you were handling customers.Had another manager who would call the cashier(usually a newbie) and have them hold the phone in the air and listen to how you would ring a customer out.How else do they HIDE?

How about those that 'hide' an aisle or two away, to try and listen to your techniques? They look as inconspicuous as a cactus in a snow storm. (and both have/are pricks!)

I have no idea, but my manager sure seems to know EVERYTHING that is ever said in the dept, despite NEVER being there!

They are called "rats", people that think that they are going to get somewhere by flowing info to Managers. Rats are a big factor in exposing Union chatter to corporate "busters" before it even gets a chance to materialize. What is really ironic is that Rats almost always get shunned by management in the long-run because of their willingness to sell-out at the drop of a dime, which could end up biting a manager in the ass!

If our department gossiper wasn't bad enough(almost everything eventually wound up in management's ears) she made it her point to tell management what was going on when the pressure was applied to her for other reasons.
