I read a quick blurb, I think on Friday, that the Rona distribution warehouse in Quebec had signed a new 9 year contract. 9 years is a huge feat, but on the backs of two previous 6 year contracts seems even more amazing.
Does anyone have access to specifics? Wage rates, annual increases, etc.? What union represents these workers?
It is funny how the press only likes to make little mention of the positive side of unions, but you can't open a paper locally without reading about the CN strike today!
Thanks

I know the United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) have most of the retail in Quebec so they might have the warehouse too.

I believe the Surry Dist is unionized. With the record profits would be nice if we got our share.

Surrey DC isn't Unionized, as far as I know. The drivers may be, but not the wearhouse employees.
The only Rona in BC that I know of being unionized is Kamloops. Something they had to continue on with Pre-Revy.
