No, but I did email them about a week ago.
I'm thinking we won't hear anything until they send us a check upon settlement

I know several people have called and they all get the same answer. They say they're in the process of going over the applications and it'll be a while longer. They say they have to check and see who's quilified and who's not, I would think that if you got a letter that you would be. They also say that they had estimated that 50 thousand would join but only 20 thousand sent in their paper work, I don't know if that will mean more for the ones who joined or not. That's all I've heard at this point, if I get an update I'll post it.

Hey what is the status on the lawsuit has anyone receive a check yet, or what are they waiting for.

Last I heard, the check mailing date is still months away. There's two rumors going around, one is that the settlement was a very low amount, the other is that it was huge, take your pick, we don't know and we never will know the true settlement amount, word is that the amount is sealed by the courts never to be realeased. One person did say on another message board that he did know what the amount was, and that the checks would average around $400 each. If that's true and you don't agree with the amount remember you can send it back withen 14 days and hire your own attorney, some are already talking to their own lawyers just incase.

You signed up when it first started in 2003, or when the settlement letters were sent out this year? The phone number is in the letter that was sent out this year. 1-866-854-5165

I was signed up in 03 and didnt get any letter.
I was wondering if there is more than one class action. I signed up on the one from www.lowesclassaction.com
is that the one from the phone number and message?

That's the right one. When you sent in the consent form to the lawfirm did you get a letter saying they recieved it? Did you change your address at anytime after that. Is anyone else in your store involved in the lawsuit?

Do you and your girlfriend still work for Lowe's, and how long were you both or are you still a Specialist or Department Manager?
The process was from the start to send in a consent form to the lawfirm, which you said you both did. You should have recieved a letter from the lawfirm saying they recieved it. I recieved that letter from them and I also followed up and called to make sure. In September of last year the lawsuit was settled out of court and the money was turned over to a Settlement Company. In Feburary of this year letters were sent out by the Settlement Company to sign another consent form to join in the settlement, the deadline to get those in was March 3rd. Your the first I've heard that joined the lawsuit and didn't get a letter, I don't know of anyone in my store or surrounding stores that didn't one.

I also joined the class action in Ohio and have heard nothing. Never received a notice from a settlement company and the attorneys handling the case never return any calls. Looks like a problem with the Ohio / PA suit. The first two years got monthly updates and everything but for the pass year have heard nothing.

When the letters came out we were ask if we recieved one, but that was it, there was no pressure either way to sign or not to sign. If you were asked not to sign you should've filed a complaint with the lawfirm. There were however some at my store that didn't join because of fear of retaliation, now they wish they would have.
I don't know how many letters were sent out but the word is that the settlement was based on 60,000 joining in the settlement, in the end only 21,000 signed. If they based it on 60,000 then there were probably around 100,000 letters actualy sent out. Based on that it seems there were alot that just threw it in the trash, or were affraid to join.
