angrey ASM went on a rampage 2 days ago came back to appliance dept and told the worker 's that he would fired the whole dept if we did not answer his page the next time he page well we no longer have the cell phone it is lost we were with customer at the time of his page we were also using the phone s in the dept. this guy came back into the dept where there were customer and other staff and just went the hell off
he did not want any one to explain why we could not pick up and call him back but when you are working with few people you have more then one body to do ever thing they ask of you and more this guy took his phone and beat it on the desk and was just screeming like a mad man I am not suprise that this is the type of manager that lowe's want's working for them I guess this is why we have so little help! It make you wonder ? this guy should be fired, Lowe's have this line do as I say not as I do . If the shoes was on the other foot would we have a JOB? I DON'T THINK SO. does anyone have any answer for this FOOL!

Document, document, document - have all employees who witnessed this meltdown report it, and describe it on paper.
Let your store manager know that you all are bothered by this, you all think this behavior is unacceptable, in any environment: you would spank your kids if they went off like that, and you'd never want to shop in a store that allowed a MANAGER to throw tantrums like a 5 year old. Totally unacceptable.
Also, if there were any customers who had to experience this tantrum, ask them to write a note to the store manager. This guy sounds like he needs some time off, to meditate, or learn how to control his temper. There's a lesson in this: DON"T SWEAT THE STUPID STUFF-DON"T LET THE JOB REDUCE YOU.

Well it would be nice to go and speak to the store manager but he is about as bad as this guy matter of fact every ASM and dept manager in that store is just like this guy , the store manager will not handle any problem at ALL he does not like to be confronted with anything negative this manager will not even deal with a customer complaint, he put it off on some one els to deal with how he ever became a store manager i will never know,the things that go on in my store are un real it is a wonder that store is still open. He has been at my store for almost 2 yrs and thing have only gotten worse since he came here. i can tell you he is a very poor leader and he should not be in his position my store is lost in the sauce it like riding a sinking ship neve know when it will go under.

Action is right, document everything, call the 800 number. We had a store manager just like this. He finally got what he deserved and was fired. It was a big morale booster.

Yes - call the 1-800 number, but you have to have specifics:
This happened on this date, these are the witnesses, and this happened on that date, these are the infractions, and so on. Specifics, and describe managers' behaviors that Lowe's can use conduct disciplinary action against those psycho managers.
Read the manual on what behaviors are unacceptable, and go by the book.
And also, get support from your coworkers - it sounds like you could write a novel on this store (do we work in the same store? Sounds awfully familiar....).
It isn't disoyal to blow in bad managers, it's for the good of the company, and the staff of the store, and your customers.
Don't just put up with it and suffer - have expectations of the managers. Shine the light.
