I just checked the window and there is 3 inches of snow at least on the ground already! THIS ROCKS!!!!!!!!!

We enjoy a wide variety of weather conditions here. Tennessee is very odd. We have tornadoes, hurricane's, tropical storms, thunder storms, snow, blizzards... and on occasion Sun. YES I said hurricanes and tropical storms. The part of the state I live in is very close to the Alabama border. Of course Tennessee is not very wide, but thats another story. Anyways, powerful hurricanes that hit the gulf coast have hit here with hurricane strength before they are downgraded. It has been 2 or 3 years since the last one hit, but we do have them! Thats Tennessee for you! |

We are always sick in Tennessee because of the temp!
For instance Monday it was almost 70. Yesterday there were inches of snow. Today it is colder, and snowing again. Watch it and by next Monday it will be 90. |

I'm afraid you would be upset then by listening to me. I don't have a "southern twang". As a matter of fact its kind of a neutral sound. I have had people actually argue with me over it, and I finally just tell them that I am from Seattle.
Works every time
I do have a few friends though that you would love to listen to! I had a friend that was asked where she was from at the Northwest Airlines Ticket Gate in Nashville. |

well its because I have this little twang..to my voice..and my customers says they always could find me..They have me all over the country with my accent..lol..

Not me, although when I get angry, it comes out and its fierce
However I have forced myself to use proper English through school because of the "Teacher Language", some principals will not hire someone who uses to much slang, and I think that it has helped me big time. I still think its funny about my friend that was asked that at the Northwest Airlines counter. I went to Seattle and to Victoria British Columbia with a group of 4 others. I was the only one who no body asked that all to common question, "Where are you from?" A week in Seattle/Canada and I was never asked. I presume that I just fit in. Although I never talked in Minneapolis - so nobody could ask there, though I do not talk like they do, don't ya know?

| I had a bit of a Southern accent, until I moved to Texas. I lost my accent. Being an actor, it is rather important to do a lot of different accents. In the store, some days I would speak with a British accent, just to see the stares. On regular days, I would have customers ask if I was from the North. I was born in New Orleans, but I guess I just have a good ear. A friend of my brother's was from PA. When he landed in Columbia to go to college, he said that he expected to see people walking barefoot and carrying guns. He was surprised that it wasn't that way. | |
