| After they called I went and checked out my new house. I am moving June 1. Since school doesn't start until August though I decided to apply at Belk to work at during the summer. The nearest Macy's is over 1.5 hours to Marietta. I am so excited about this! I am also very excited about my new house, I can't wait to move!!!! | |

Belk can't compare to Macy's.  Besides the people at the Belk forum couldn't be as friendly or as nice, or as much like family as the people at the Macy's forum.

Besides, maybe Macy's will buy Belk too! Then the Belk's near my new house will be Macy's and I won't be a traitor.
It's funny really. I am in the middle. 20 minutes north there is a Belk for women & Belk for Men, Childrens, and Home. 20 minutes south of me there is a Belk for Women & Belk for Men, Childrens, and Home. Belk is a new name in the area. They closed their nearest store in 1998 and it became Dillard's. Now with Proffit's and Parisian gone, Belk is common in this area. They just opened a new Belk near my current house (About 30 minutes away) and it is huge, but very nice for a Belk. Anyways, I think I may become a bank teller for the summer. It's an idea anyways. |

| I used to work for Belk. The people on the store level were nice and more family oriented than Macy's. The people on the corporate level were insane. Stranger than the Macy's ones. But, since the cross-dressing CEO has retired, I have heard that the new president is better. | |
