MAYcylady,

Hmnn, maybe our OPS mgr is doing the budget for your store too Confused Look out if that is the case. I know of an assoc. who requested 2 pers days off 4 months in advance, was denied, and then when she pulled up her schedule 2 weeks in advance... found out that they had given her the days off UNPAID without even notifying her. By that time, she had already cancelled her travel plans.

Normarae, I used to get in "trouble" for giving too many shifts away. Anyone that wanted hours could get them from me. If it was for a w/e, I told them that they didn't even have to ask, just fill out the paperwork and show up!
They told me that I would loose my bene's if I kept that up. They were getting mad b/c they were missing out on the accounts that I get, and also, my manager at the time was a control freak, and only wanted ME to do certain things.
THEN, when they tried to make us work at night, I gave all of the nights away too! They should be glad, it saves them money.

How about SM's and GSM's trading places with sales associates? Now THAT would be a good show! We could see them cry!

Hello.... Macy's Human Resources. I have had a SM and GSM call Solutions regarding your comment that you wanted them to cry.

As a result, and since YOU COUNT Thumbs Up you must open 7 credits in 2 hours or be docked 700 hours from your pay check.

Have a great day!

Remember... murder is illegal. By swapping Terry, I think you'd kill him.

OK, OK.....

$5.75 an hour and he will work 40 hours a week. Due to budget cut backs he will work 4 hours a week. Because he no longer meets the minimum number of hours required to be a full time associate he will loose bennefits and vacation. Furthermore his employee discount shall be decreased from 50% to 3% on cash purchases only. In order to receive his discount he must use a Macy's card. The discount is only valid on cash transactions.

A RAISE????? How could you suggest such a thing?

Due to increased gasoline costs he may not have a raise for 2 years.

Hey South, how is it going trying to get back on?

I went by the old store this past weekend, and several associates told me that they had heard I was coming back. That was news to me. No body can make a decision. If they do, I hope it is after April. I will get the "package" then, which will be approx. half of a year's take-home pay.
