Oddly, my car broke down on Friday, but unfortunately, I got it fixed. I am waiting on someone giving me their car for free, as they don't need it anymore.

Well, I really wanted to wait a few more months, but it was easier to just go ahead and do it.

Do you think if I stood at a busy intersection with a sign saying "Need a Car", that would work?

I thought about that but figured I would get arrested, a car for, well you know, the hokey pokey?
Stand outside of Macy's and hold the sign....
Need Car, worked at Macy's.

Yeah Polli, I read that notice today too!! Unbelievable! You would think we are all making $30 an hour by what is expected of us! Myscheduleplus probably means your schedule will be ten times plus worse than it ever was! |
on friday i was covering a gal's dinner...she is a specialist... jones or inc not sure which. anyway she comes back from a quick meeting with the sch. mgr and i made a comment like, what did they fire you? just kidding her. she was not too happy with the meeting and didn't find the humor in my comment. maybe they DID say something to her about getting/keeping the specialist numbers up. oh well.

We had specialists budgets at Lowe's and they would be insane. A specialist in our store which did 12 Mil a year on a good year would have a monthly budget of 60 grand or more. The budgets were insane and they would schedule them odd hours where they couldn't make budget. It is all a big joke if you ask me....... You can't force people to buy your junk!
MAYcylady if you don't buy this 4000 dollar refrigerator then we are going to make sure you spend the rest of your life chained to the Macy's Woman Counter!!!!!!!!!!

They couldn't afford to send it USPS or UPS they sent by Canadian Royal Mail. They were cheaper. It has to go thru Canada and England before it will arrive in Florida.

All will be better?
Does that mean out with black? More associates on the floor? Less private label?
I know your gripes with private label, and I completely understand, however Dillard's is worse about private label brands and they have higher prices.

Dillard's is pricing themselves out of business. Even when Clearance isn't on Macy's, er... Macy's on Clearance, Macy's has much better prices. Dillard's is nearing Bloomingdale's and Neimans price wise but can barely meet JC Penney in quality.

I have never bought anything from Dillards. We didn't have them up in the north, so when I moved here it was a nice new store to check out. I have never found anything that I "had to have" there, especially for the prices. Today during ODS, I got 4 shirts for $15 after my discount and the $10 coupon, I cannot even find one descent shirt in Dillards for $15

How did you use the $10.00 coupon? I wouldn't dare try that in my store.
