Hello Macys Insider.

My name is Friendofmacy and this a wonderful group here at retail-worker.com, I am a former Home Depot associate, but the wonderful people at the Macy's forum were so much fun and interesting to say the least that I joined them. It is nice to meet you, and congrats on your new job.

Curiously, the store in Puerto Rico has all the signage in English. You would think it would be Spanish (Borders in the same mall sells Spanish books,) but it isn't.

When I went to Puerto Rico to do puppet shows for kids, I took a crash course in Spanish. They said I wouldn't have any trouble speaking English in San Juan, but venturing out into the countryside, I would have to know Spanish. That was very true. I expect a lot of Macy's business is from tourists.

Well, I didn't know until the other day that Puerto Ricans are US Citizens! I saw that Clinton "won" in Puerto Rico, and I was like WHAT? So I looked it up, and yep, it's true!

I am going to transfer to Macy's Puerto Rico. The winter was way too cold here. I had to give up my swimsuit specialist job for the winter, and work in coats.
