Next time, please leave out the Lord's name, to use it that way is offensive to me.
Thanks.

Latter part first: I see we have something in common MAYcylady.

Isn't it wonderful to see how management at times seems to know so little, and yet claim to know so much?

Also, do you like, work at Herald Square or so? Very Happy

The only reason I enjoyed working on Sundays was because I was scheduled to work at 6:00 AM. The store wouldn't open until 11:00, meaning I had plenty of time to do work without anyone bothering me over something so annoyingly mundane, and minor. Otherwise, I am grateful for my weekends off.

If managers take 1 1/2 hour lunches, why shouldn't associates?

I took 1.75 hours on my last day at Lowe's. No one noticed. What's funny is that I set in garden in a chair for 45 minutes of it.

That's what I would do if I worked at Lowe's, since they don't have beds!

My associates come late on Sundays.. Almost 25% of them have called out... jesus...

The morning rally was boring as usual, with my idiotic-managers as co-workers.. they messed up on the previous day sales figures and they can't do an excel spreadsheet right to save thier lives in terms of the # of credit goals we had yesterday.

As usual, I come to save the day to salvage the morning rally sheet .. but it doesn't matter since the store is full of pregnant teenagers and old geezers that don't know anything about computers.

Mid-day - the store is dead, and I mean really dead....

The best part of the day is lunch hour! I take a 1 1/2 hour lunch instead of 1 hour... no body noticed!

Closing time - the worst because shoppers aren't aware of our early closing times on Sundays... I usually have to use the PA 1 hour to announce that we are closing, then in 15 min intervals lol!

Well.. its Monday, time for work!

Sounds like it's not hard to be a manager at Macy's.

Boy, MI, it sounds like you're off to a great start as a manager...dissing your co-managers, your associates and even the Lord in one fell swoop...not to mention stealing company time...no wonder the associates have such a negative view of management...

These are the ones that we hate to see promoted. Also the ones that I look at, and think to myself, "Enjoy your little power trip, I still make more than you, AND I only work PT!".

I don't like either side of the fence posts here. I think that I will stay on the other side of the road from the fence. Margarita Polli?

Honestly, I do not totally know. I guess they are updating the fixtures and stuff, so they need to renovate there. I also know they are expanding luggage and moved bedding all the way to the back by the post office (I guess workers can take a nap after going postal.) Right now, it is a mild pain to enter the executive office to retrieve sale catalogs, because I have to enter through the back.

And, yes I am on the support team. I don't think I could handle customers in there. If a customer were to throw a shoe at me, I would immediately call security. The conversation would sound like: I'm here to report a crazed customer. She just threw a shoe at me. She looks such and such way. I believe she answers to the name of such and such. Could you please have her sent to the local looney bin please?

I be right back! I am going to go get an arc welder and then the bomb squad. I am going to find my way in that safe! Lead wrapped around concrete with steel reinforcement and then bolted to the ground with a bank vault door! I tell you she spent more on then safe then what could be in it!
