Lady, I used to say the same thing. And, of course, you may never change your mind...but I LOVE being a mom! I wouldn't want to be anything else!
Although I had a great marriage to start with, becoming parents has made us even closer. I couldn't do it without my husband, he is a great helper.
But...there is a time for everything, and yours isn't here yet!

That is what everyone tells me and I am sure that if I found the right person that all would change. I love children, just not my own. That is why I want to teach, 18 of my children everyday for 7 hours...then I get to go home to a nice and quiet house.

Lady, as for the teaching thing, talk to someone who was in the profession for a while. You either love it or hate it! I personally would have enjoyed with if I didn't have to deal with the beaucracy of the administration so I got out of it! I too am not the paternal type so NO KIDS FOR ME! Well unless, a man gets pregnant like that one guy that was on all over the news!

EX don't jump on that one to soon. What if you meet a guy and he already has kids or he wants to adopt? Even more so, what if you find your Mr. Right and he wants a baby so he gets either a straight woman or Lesbian to be a surrogate? You may be a father before it's all said and done!

The rate I am going EX, you may be a dad before I am!

Or...
you could hit your head and get amnesia, forget you are gay, find a girlfriend, get married and have tons of kids....
then...one day you hit your head again, the amnesia is reversed, and you suddenly realize that you have been living a lie, and now 6 kids are depending on you...

A long lost relative could leave you their baby in their will when they die. There was a movie like that with Diane Keaton.

Yikes EX! Your going to be a dad and you can just deal with it! Gay or not!

I would rather see a child who needs a home go to a home with a Gay person that will love it and cherish it as if it were his/her own child then to see the child be abused and neglected!

FOM, while I agree with that, WHY is that always the argument? It's like choosing the less of two evils.

Maybe its because I am a teacher. I can't stand to see a child who is being beat, neglected, abused or worse in a negative environment. In America we have made it so hard for anybody to adopt a child, that it is easier and less expensive to go to China or Russia and adopt a child.

EX you should adopt a child RIGHT now! I am sure on your luxury Seattle based sales salary you can afford one!

Oh, I hate child abuse also. Infact, I am a volunteer for a children's advocacy group. I'm just saying that I hate to hear people say "Well, (this situation) is better than kids being with (xyz) and being abused."
Children should have only what is best, not what is best based on a worse case scenerio.
That's all I"m saying.
I LOVE kids. It breaks my heart when I hear of them being mistreated.

EX i seem to recall a movie made when I was younger..... It featured your distinguished governor and Danny Devito. It was called Junior and your governor delivered a baby! HE had a baby, you should call Danny Devito and ask him to impregnate you...... Smile
