Many consider her a traitor and apparently she didn't even get picked or an invite to the join the US Women Basket Ball Team going to the Olympics-until she was to play for Russia.SO...-I thouht the Olympics were supposed to be for the athletes and all about sportsmanship.
I find that Olympic ideal a little hard to swallow when you have many narcissitic athletes,steriod scandals,poitical statements and professionals participating in just another competition.
Even when the commies were sending pros I started to loose respect for games.I respect the sports themselves and many of the feats but most are professionals.But the politics of being called a traitor because of dual citizenship.Hey,if the Olympic rules allow this what's the fuss?

Man, this particular case is a rough one. You want to consider the entire situation rather than just going off on some jingoistic rampage and attacking her as a "traitor" as the commentator seems to be doing. I have personal experience with people who pop the purely political "traitor" card at every perceived provocation and I simply don't think it has any place in this case.
If she truly knew that she was not going to get to play for the US team and her dream was to play in the Olympics, I'm not too sure there's anything wrong with it. All we have to go by is a pissing contest between the commentator and one of his blog commenters.
