Congrats MAYcylady. It took me a while to figure out how to do it again after I moved to Georgia.

They are probably happy to see Money go for 18 days, so they were glad to take his Macy Money for more days. As for BB, I am waiting too. CBS is already running promos of the houseguests. One is an old man, and another is a Hooters waitress. Guess who will be voted off first.

Normarae, this is new, they may not have started it in your store yet, but you could ask about it. Credits are so bad everywhere, I guess they will try anything. Anyway, it really is a motivation for me, b/c I LOVE time off! No customer is leaving my wrapstand w/o a Macy's REWARDS Card!

I COULD NOT BELIEVE that Dianna picked that clown! I haven't been keeping up with it, so I didn't even know that he was still on the show. You can imagine my surprise when I tuned in last night and saw him sitting there. All I can say is that I hope its not real!

We should have sent FOM there, then maybe the outcome would have been different. Wink

it's real and they are engaged and a date has been set. May 7, 2009. oh, gawd i need help !!!! i have it etched in my mind when the bachelorette is getting married next year, yet can't remember what i have planned this weekend. therapy !! i need therapy !! Rolling Eyes

i DID ask someone about buying vacay time with MM and her face lit up like a christmas tree !! i said, "don't get excited. i read it online and am pretty sure it's a joke."

now they are loading up the register stands with unused promo gifts from cosmetics ( the huge useless bags, etc) to give customers when they open a credit AS WELL AS a 15% coupon incentive. they are really desperate now !!!

Actually, Normarae, your memory isn't THAT good...it's May 9th, not May 7th. The only reason that I remember that is b/c it's my husband's b-day.
I'm sure that it will fizzle out before then. PLEASE! That guy is a clown! And Dianna is so cute. I belive that they were paid alot of money to pretend. That HAS to be it. It just can't be true.

Did you ask your OPS about using your macy money for vacation time? It's true. They may not have started it in your store yet. It is a good incentive, but you have to have a LOT to buy a paid day. I am determined to open enough accounts to get at least ONE paid day off! It's actually something nice that Macy's is doing for us, I can't believe it! I might even say "Macy's Rocks!", but only if I get enough Macy Money for a day off. Smile

Today our store was giving a "military" discount and a senior citizen (over 55 and had to prove it!) discount of 15% with Macy's, 10% if using any other form of payment. Some were put off when asked if they were over 55.. but once they heard about discount, they started calling their friends. The only military that came through were from WWI it seemed and I don't think they were the ones the offer was geared toward. What next .. raffles?

NO ONE, I repeat NO ONE, especially women, should be asked if they are over 55. I have seen people who are 35 who looked 60. There are other ways to find out, like asking if they have any coupons today, if they qualify. Asking someone if they are over 55 is a sure way to lose a customer!

I would just be more polite about it.........

"Psss.... You are going to be 55 today, that way I can save you an extra 15%!"

If they are younger than 55 then they will be happy to save the 15%, If they are older, they will be delighted that you told them they looked younger.

I am a horrible judge of age, so I never even ask. I figure if they will tell me if they want the discount.

Everyone kept getting mad at me today b/c I asked them if they were military. So many people wear camo these days! Razz

The new show on ABC, WipeOut isn't bad. It's like Gladiators, but they actually have a prize at the end and no mundane Gladiator to battle. Not to bash Gladiators...

However Hells Kitchen was fantastic, I just wish Hell was on more than once a year. I can't wait for BB10. They have a new schedule this year over last summer, same as BB9. Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. It's going to be interesting.

I was happy either way with out come from Hell, but I felt bad for the looser, I almost wish they had won. I am trying Norma, incase you can't tell not to tell you the answer!

Gordon is back on this fall with Kitchen Disasters though, thats a plus! I love that show, though I don't care to eat out as much after watching it.

No, no. You can use your macy money to buy more vacation TIME. But you have to have a lot of macy money. Most people would not get enough to buy any extra days.
I just turned in a bunch of my Macy Money for 2 extra days of vacation. I had to make sure I got it in 4 weeks ahead of time. I refuse to use it to buy any more polyester clothes at Macy's but I WILL use it for vacation.

You must have gotten a ton of credits! I haven't even gotten enough for one day yet, but I am working on it. You can even add them to your vacation to make it longer.

yeah, that's what I am doing. I am adding the 2 days from Macy's Money on to my one week paid vacay.
