I need an an e-mail adress for Lowes corporate office. I would prefer Human Resources if possible. There are a number of us at our store who has had it with this place. We know the problem lies within the store management itself (an is deep rooted) and the district office knows of the problem but will not deal with it. Perhaps corporate will. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Some of us at the store can not get e-mail through Lowes for some reason. This is probably deliberate. This is why I am looking for an outside contact. As the old saying goes, "the pen is mightier than the sword". Send a letter via snail mail, cc it to your district also, and maybe to the local press. (who said it had to anyway?)

Lowe's will take you more seriously if you write a letter to them by hand like the previous poster mentioned. You do have recourse. You can call the harrassment line and report the abuse. If more than one person at your store does this it will send a message to the district level. They may not care about the problems in your store. They also may be waiting for the right information to just clean house. I like the mail a letter rather than email corporate idea. The last time someone from my store emailed corporate about the problems in the store they were let go.

Night Stalker... You have done nothing but piss and moan on this forum since you joined. You complain about everything and compare your working conditions to the ones you had with your union job. Personally, and please don't take this the wrong way, I think unions have ruined the American work force. You are part time, leave it at that. I am sure Haji at the local Citgo will hire you. We at Lowes who enjoy our jobs don't need your whining, bitching or complaining. Get over it and get lost.

Unions improved working conditions in this country, not destroyed it. It is greedy corporations, both foriegn and domestic, that is ruining this country. I have worked in retail for 18 month and do not like it. But all of us have different stations in life. I have talked with Lowes employees who have worked with Lowes for over 20 years. Lowes is not what it used to be. The store that I work at literally makes up the rules day by day. They have no one to answer to, like a Union. Favorism runs amok in this place. HR rep is a total idiot, bar none. The SM is a Wal-Mart refugee that has been intimidated by the established "power stucture" that exists in the store prior to his arrival. He actually appears in the store twice a week. I come from a manufacturing background and am proud of it. A couple of examples of what goes on here. One local contractor proudly claims to have had sex with all but 3 cashiers. Managers having sex with other managers and openly claiming to do so, married or not. If the rules were to be enforced, all the managers but two would be terminated. Programs that are implemented by Corporate are changed to suit the power stucture's wants, usually creating hardships on those not aligned in their pitiful group. I was told by one of the two decent ZM's, that if I make waves, this "power bloc" will come down on me "like ugly on an ape". When I do contact Corporate, my job will be history. That is a price I am willing to pay (and have paid in the past), would you? Perhaps your store is run by clean, honest decent people who actually care about one another. This store does not. If you were in my situation, you would be angry also. I am a dinosaur by todays standards. I stand up and fight for what is right for the working man, I fight to keep good paying and all jobs in America, not sell them to the lowest foriegn bidder, I do the best job at a job in which I do not like. I am 55 years old and have seen history made and now I watch all the progress of hard earned American labor go down the drain because of ideologies of people like, J. Edwards Demming, Crosby and Wallace and those like them destroying the progress of the last 100 years. Revisionist have distorted history, now we repeat those mistakes made in history. I am but one voice in the wilderness but put all those voices together and you will have a deafening roar. I do not stand alone in this situation in this store.

I asked for helping hand, not one with a sword in it.

I had no idea this was "happy" board. Only positive and joyful things are to be posted. You call it bitching, I call it "taking a stand".

Thanks to those for offering to lend a helping hand.

Night Stalker, I hear you, I'm behind you in age by 6 years. I too have seen the greed of Corp America and the money hungry pigs of Wall Street crushing the middle class into poverty. The only way they will hear "Our voice roar" is when we evaporate their profits and earnings. Every day it's SALES,SALES,SALES and expense control as well as increase margin. What if all the associates got together and had a plan (let's say union controlled) where the focus was on fair wages and benefits to associates, a safe working enviorment and work life balance?.......Oh, I guess that falls under "Quit your bitchen" Rolling Eyes I think the American worker should be "Entitled" to be able to form a union. Unions are good for the workers, That is why Corp American wants to bash them. We just need to stop buying all the crap we have and stick to basic needs. Slow the economy and corp profits will fall. I am trying to get to living a simple life and withdraw as much as I can from consumerism.

So because he's a lower level associate, that makes his opinions invalid?

Unions are the reason you have days off. Unions are the reason why you have reasonable working conditions. Unions are the reason why you aren't scheduled 90 hours arbitrarily. Unions are the reason why you can go to a higher up without repercussions to report valid claims of mistreatments and transgressions.

What kind of ignorant, racist statement is that? That has nothing to do with this thread. Or are people like you prevalent among Lowe's management. A simple, "Then quit" would have sufficed.

He's off the clock, on his own computer. Lowe's can't censor him, the first amendment protects what he says.

The only thievery I've noticed is how store managers like to horde away hours without staffing them in order to make their bonus. Is that not a form of stealing precious work hours from those who actually need the money such as working mothers and college students trying to pay rent and go to school?

Nightstalker...If in your heart you believe something is wrong, then stick it to them bro. If you don't stand up for what you believe in, you'll regret it later.

I may not have been around 30-40 years ago to see history's mistakes. I'm only 23, but something is morally wrong with the way certain corporate companies are running the show on the lower level. Lowe's is starting to be a classic example of that. I've seen it at all three stores I've worked at, and it's really bad at my current one. But all that's based off my personal morals. It doesn't appear that people like oldyeller or audiosup have much personal morals, or integrity for that matter. It's like years of being in Lowe's and working your way up the ladder has a way of affecting the level of moral relativism within a person.

John, Like the people of "Jonestown" a few posters here have drank the Kool-Aid. Corporate America could give a rats ass about the workers, however they are the back bone of the company. I feel the day is soon approaching that they will see the light. Many of the associates could give a shit about their job and it shows in their work and work ethics. Leverage of payroll as you said is happening where I work. If the task doesn't get done then there isn't enough help to sell and complete task. Many .....let me say MOST day's I don't even take a break, and when I do the damn portable phone doesn't allow me to get a swig in without having me choke to answer the damn thing. and then they want to have us do Ethics training? Not to work off the clock and take your breaks? Cut the shit.
Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Lowes.....Same shit different company!
