Well, this November will be a first in one of two ways.
1. Barak Obama/Joe Biden - if Obama is elected, he will be the first black man to be elected to be President.
2. John McCain/Sarah Palin - if McCain is elected, then Palin would be the first woman elected Vice President.
This is going to be a very interesting election indeed.

I was browsing around the MSN BLueLight Lounge earlier, and came across a great thread, in which Mr. BL (a lawyer -- under the name IspeDixit8) brings up very valid points.
Some things to think about on there -- read the entire thread here.

I just came from people.com and read that Sarah Palin's 17 year old daughter is 5 months pregnant. Ouch!!!

Palin is really hot.
McCain already had my vote, she is just the icing on the cake, and has a stronger resume than the top of the Democrat ticket... she's actually run a government.

From an Eagle Forum Candidate Questionnaire:
Q: Are you offended by the phrase “Under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance? Why or why not?
PALIN: Not on your life. If it was good enough for the Founding Fathers, its good enough for me and I’ll fight in defense of our Pledge of Allegiance.
The pledge of allegiance wasn't written until 1892. The man who wrote it, a SOCIALIST by the way, didn't die until the 1930s. The phrase "under God" was added in 1954 when I was in Junior High. I remember it plainly.
I just don't know folks... I'm not sure being "hot" is gonna do it for me.

LOL. You stole this before I could get to it.
I love in particular how a McCain aide is saying that the Obama campaign is being "sexist" for criticizing Palin's experience.
So does this mean that from here on, anyone criticizing Obama's experience is racist? Hm.

Good question. Maybe you can see why I've just written the whole bunch off. At this point I'd vote for Homer Simpson before I'd vote for any of the current offerings.

I'd also like to add that even though I'm a registered Democrat, I don't criticize Palin for her daughter's pregnancy. It's not her fault, it's her daughter's/dude that knocked her up's fault. Shoulda wrapped his tool. When you were growing up and still now, how many things did you do that your parents know nothing about? Plus, shit just happens.
Edit: Also, Palin is kinda hot...

I'm completely disgusted with both tickets.
For the first time in my adulthood... I'm not voting.
I cannot in good faith support any of the candidates.

Obama is a racist.
As for the comment about the plege, she merely said that the phrase was good enough for the founding fathers as I'm sure it was.

What proof do you have that he's a racist? How is that?

The simple fact that he said that his grandmother was a racist like most white people. That's racist in itself. Then again, racism is okay if it's directed at whitey, isn't it?

Well, of course you take it out of context to underline your point, I get that.
Anyways, what he acknowledged was that there is a disconnect between people of color, and that sometimes they have problems overcoming history and other obstacles. I think it's surprising that he had the clarity to acknowledge that his own grandmother had that issue, a person he loves.
He's also said at the NAACP convention in a speech that African Americans needed to grow up and act like men, and not boys. That in a case where they impregnated a woman then needed to step up to the responsibility.
I guess he's racist against black people too? He'll have to lay down a few more slurs before this election is over lol.

Whatever.
He makes a statement and then he does a dance to get out of it. Of course you don't buy that but I have a feeling that I know what side of the fence you're on.
As I said before, whatever.

Obama has gotten a pass on most every issue from the press
heck, MSNBC sacked Olberman and Matthews as anchors because they were so far in the tank for him... you know its bad when that outfit is embarrassed by and acknowledges their bias

I think what you're describing is a politician? Which would encompass all of them. Let's talk about Sarah Palin and the Bridge to Nowhere. Great story.
You probably do, but I give everyone a fair shot, regardless of what side their on. I'm pretty disgusted by the way that the Republicans are playing the game. Instead of talking about issues, you know, because our country is nearly in the crapper, and because they have no solid success to stand on, they're just going to personally attack the other guy. I guess that's what you have to do in order to win. Because for them, that's the only thing it's about.

Fun fact:
Obama voted for the bill that funded the "Bridge to Nowhere"

You missed the point though.
Obama and Biden aren't running on opposition to the Bridge - McCain and Palin are. The Dems are correctly pointing out that Gov Palin supported the Bridge until it became politically inconvenient. Notice that she held onto the money too - to use for other crap. Those earmarks make for some good money.
