They got tired of being yelled at for it when everyone else was having to make do with less and several years ago they voted to give themselves automatic raises every year with no fuss or fanfare, Their last one would have been in July so I suspect you're right.
Probably part of that same benefit package that only had them working 2 and a half days a week a couple of years back.
