just saw the commercial last night. Had to laugh because I reconized who the actress is and the smile is so fake (LOL). You would think they'd pick another color not being used.
Red= Target
Orange = Lowes
Blue= Home Depot/ Best Buys
Yellow = can't think of the company/Best Buys security
Brown= UPS
Black= a good color for Sears since we are in morning.
Blue would be good for us because we are singing the blues.
Ok I'll stop LOL |
You have Lowe's and the orange box mixed up. |
Sorry about that I didn't realize I did that. Orange is Home Depot and Blue is Lowes/Best Buys.

LOL black and blue would be great it will go with the black and blue marked we take the beating from Sears.

Srurbble,
I was not saying there was a difference between buying the black & blue polo.
The point is that you are required to buy one color & NOW ANOTHER.
Thats all I was saying....don't get so upset. That was the only point I was making.
And, don't forget that I stated that it was my opinion.
So, if you don't mind buying your shirts thats fine. But, I have the opinion that if a company requires their employees to wear "uniformed" look, then, it should be a "uniformed" look or none at all. I think you SHOULD have a logo & I think that SEARS should pay some of YOUR expenses to require that CHANGE.
Ok?
Thanks Term for your analogy...as always it made me chuckle.
What the hell does blue crew stand for? We now wear blue shirts? ha ha

I believe this was filmed in the Northridge store in California. Actually, pretty positive it was.

Actually this is even less original than people thought. Remember back after the supebowl when Eddie compared himself to Eli Manning and Sears being like the Giants by proving the "naysayers" wrong and winning the superbowl? Football fans can attest to this. The Giants are often referred to as "The Big Blue Wrecking Crew" or just "Big Blue" by their fans in NY. Guess this is further proof that Eddie is still making the retail decisions around here and still doing a piss poor unoriginal job of it.

In Jan. each appliance person will be given two shirts. That is the official kick off to the blue man, now we were told that you could start wearing them now, but you would have to buy your own shirts right now.

I've seen the BAC ad lately and I hate to say it..but it's soooooooooooooooooooooo unprofessional looking. I mean it just doesn't fit Sears.

The idea of a blue appliance crew makes me think of the "Blue Man Group". Sears could require everybody to paint their faces blue to really stand out from the competition....

I think this is a way for Sears to sell more product. If we can force all the employees to buy new shirts every couple years we can make extra sales. Next we will have colors to represent our departments or sales skills. Kind of like the Star Trek of Sears.

I keep on thinking Best Buy when I see the shirts.They even remind me of the blue Kmart uses.
Not a color expert or designer but the black/Kaki would be considered more neutral ? The the lighter blue just reminds of shopping at a big box.Wonder if the Kmart Appliance Depts,the few that they have will be wearing them.
I think there is more going on here than marketing.

Some consultant probably told them the the color blue makes people 1.2 percent more likely to buy a PA.

Has anyone heard what color blue we are able to wear? There are so many shades of blue compared to Black. I think baby blue will bring out the color in my eyes.
