Couldn't find another post about the "focus group" which Lowe's triumphed and rolled out about a year ago. Nobody in my store knows anything further about it and even the appointed "members" of the group haven't heard anything further. Is this laughable, half-assed effort to help glass over the problems in its stores still active or was it silently abandoned because it was stirring up and exposing way too many problems?

Are you talking about 'focus groups' or 'voice team' Focus groups have been around forever. Monthly, at least one member from each zone, sm and hr present, talking about issues throughout the store. Meeting notes kept and sent to area hr
voice team: after the results of last years 'your voice, our future' survey, stores were to have volunteers meet and address issues from the survey, come up with action plans, and try to fix some of the issues that were bothering associates.
We have a focus meeting monthly. To no purpose
We had voice team meetings monthly, To no purpose.
I would think that after the results of this years survey come back, we will start up a new voice team

I concur with Merlin there is definitely a corolation between stores with poor employee surveys and the Focus Group. Colossal waste of time made to make the rank and file "grunt" feel better about management.
