Its my understanding that on or about the 1st of nov. the 2% changes to 3% for store to web sales. This makes one wonder, after all the complaining about this, does perhaps upper mgmt. read these threads and actually agree with some of our concerns? Or is it another attempt to siphon off sales from big ticket employees? (example: Employee Joe works in home fashions as a cashier, his neighbor tells him that he is gonna purchase a new washer and dryer for wife that he saw on the internet, Joe says i can order that for you while at work tomorrow.) The 3% is enticement enough to take the time to do it. Is it unethical, no, but with some employees selling their souls for $4.00 for each credit app. they get , it does open a lot of possibilities for additional income. And there are other issues of concern that haven't been addressed yet , such as , will the 1% tractor pay you 3% if you order store to web on it. Frankly, if i worked in D/71 i'd never sell that tractor from retail ever again. In conclusion, i'm glad on one hand to see something positive for a change, but the pessimist in me says , how is this gonna screw me over today?

The 1% tractor will pay 3%. However, the coach potatoes don't want you to use store to web like that because you'll be impacting the store's bottom line. Isn't that though what Eddie wants though? To be able to close the stores because they are an expense and focus on the Internet?
Where you get screwed over is protection agreements, if you get them. Never EVER ring a protection agreement on store to web, unless you want to lose 2% on the agreement as well as get no recognition on your monthly numbers. Store to web agreements don't get credited to the store as an agreement. Ring your protection agreements at the cashwrap.
Personally, regarding the agreements, I'd rather make sure I sell the item first, and worry about the agreement second. The agreements won't keep Sears in business. Selling the merchandise does.

I was always told that if you ring a PA seperately you are supposed to call service and tell them the customer information and what it is for.
Apparently problems with customers trying to get different merchandise covered.

As is the norm apparently in my store, I never got that memo. Yet another lie told to me by higher-ranked employees (definitely not superior ones)?

Brandmaster, you are right. The pessimist in you should be skeptical. Sears never does anything that's best for us or the company, just what's best for them. I look at the web as an evil because if we do enough sales over the web, corporate just might come down and say our store is no longer needed because we don't do enough sales in the store. I really think they are luring us in with the extra percent just like a pedifile lures a child with candy. Maybe not the best analogy, but we are getting sucked in for a goody. And you people can trust me on this one too, we can't rely on this company to do a simple delivery, how are we to expect them to attach a reciept that was ordered over the web and the agreement rung in the store? I wouldn't even dare to go there.

I wonder if they would even be smart enough to figure it out if you store to webbed stuff for yourself? It would be like 3% cash back fo' free. And honestly, there is no way you could do any illegal deductions on it anyways.

There is fine print in that change. It is NOT all items.
