In our store I was told we can not put the football games on this year due to the employees hanging around electronics and not performing their jobs. Id buy that, but I was informed today that theres some law of broadcasting that states we can not show ANY broadcast television in a store environment without a license based on how many people may be watching the televisions at any given time. Or something to that effect.

I hear what they are saying by the law but since its free over the air broadcasting to anyone, I dont see that as the real issue. Sounds like a cop out to shut people up. Ive been searching and I see no such law anywhere. If anyone has any insight and possibly a link to somewhere stating this please put it here.

you cant profit from it. notice on every broadcast they say its presented by copyright of the MLB, NLF, NASCAR, F1 etc. if you rebroadcast it or show a tape it can only be used for personal use, all the tv stations have to get permission to show videos. its like when they have big fights, they can only show stills.

I remember reading years ago that bars were supposed to pay fees to be allowed to show NFL games. Just more greed.

I don't know if it is happened everywhere but around here, local businesses that want to give away a football schedule can't mention the teams by name unless they have paid a licensing fee, so they get around it by calling it the the "red and gold" schedule.

Of course, football fans are too enamoured with the sport to realize that the NFL doesn't care about fan support, all they care about is money.
