LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats the same exact TV me and my wife purchased back on Feb 08 for our new house. We paid 1099.99 and 169.99 for the 5 yr in-home service and Sears is trying to sell it at basically 50% of the purchase price!?!? LOLOL

Even at 1499.99, thats still 30%.. They have completely lost their minds.

Based on in store pa pricing, the 5 year would still be 269.99, which is still utterly rediculous.

But the Sears one has a maintenance check. That extra money is to have a guy come out and turn it on once a year. Isn't that worth the extra bucks?

Maybe your wife should go out and get that job since she is the expert and more qualified for the job. LOL

As someone who recently had a 7 year old tv fixed for 125$ I'd say W T F.Big thing with any electronics actually is to have it on a quality surge protector-computer grade for tvs and keep the area clean and well ventilated to keep from over heating.

Yeah there might be quality problems or kinks & quirks with new technology but it has been around long for plenty of non-Sears or A&E techs to know whats going on or how to price service.

I wouldn't pay $439 for a warranty on a $900 TV, but since the Sears PA is so much more than just a warranty, how could I possibly say no... Wink Very Happy

Despite a limited schedule at my store - I worked only one shift this week and am not on the schedule at all next week - I still manage to sell a replacement plan (for a Kmart product valued under $200) once a week. What boggles my mind is that products valued under $10 (like old videogames, clearanced clock radios, liquidated duffle bags, etc.) will still be flagged by the register for the cashier to offer a $2.99 1-year replacement plan. There are times in which the product is literally under a dollar; why would someone voluntarily agree to spend another three dollars on a one dollar item - they are better off purchasing three Nintendo DS Solitaire games (if available) to ensure that at least one will work for longer than ninety days (should their interest not wander away from the game after ten minutes of amusement). Rolling Eyes Doh!
