I hate rumors, so I am asking for information! I was told in my first interview by an HR Employee/Interviewer that Lowes is discouraging the payment of spiffs to Specialists, and everyone for that matter. The Interviewer told me that the concept of selling for spiffs; steering customers to a specific product that has a spiff versus another comparable product with no spiff, that may fit the customer's needs better, is something Lowes wants to get away from. I am waiting for an appointment for my second interview for Appliance Specialist, and the news disturbs me....The store has not opened here yet so no one here to ask in person. Has anyone out there is Lowes Land heard the same as what was mentioned to me about spiffs?
Are spiffs going away!?? What about "Bonuses" are they considered "Spiffs" too?
