this is my first post here.I am trying to get hired at Rona store close to me .And I am told they give you a test to do .Is this true?And what is on this test?I am not trying to cheat just looking for some insight.

I think it's just an honesty test. You know, have you ever shoplifted? Would notify management if you saw a co-worker doing something against the code of conduct? Probably some general safety questions...and then you sign your life away

I have had interveiw with the HR there before and I showed up .The person who was to do the interview forgot and left for the day .And no manager would come to interview me .So in a week or so I will try again.I knew some who applyed there and they got as far as the second interview.They had said somthing about the test.thx for your input

I'm curious to know why you're so eager to work for Rona. I just watched a story on CBC News about the labour shortage in Alberta. There are companies offering bonuses to staff who stay on longer than 3 months. Seems to me that you Albertans have your options wide open.
That aside, I think your key to get in to Rona is to be the Sqeaky Wheel. Figure out which area of the store you'd like to work in and find out who the Zone Manager for that department is. Then seek them out personally and discuss working there... then do it again, and again. Zone Managers do most of their own hiring, I don't think Store Managers have much to do with the process.

Why am I so eager to work at rona ?
extra income
Its close to home I am 2 blocks away from it.
And yes i am keeping my all my options wide open there are so many jobs out there.

There is a small test and a background check and the manager has final say of you get on Good Luck
