Posted: Mon Oct 08, 2007 4:49 am Post subject: D57 Updated Advanced Commission Items for Nov - Dec 07.
|
|
|
As some of you already well know, some Sears stores have been implementing a new commission's structure to D57/3. Some of these changes only affect a few of the stores in the nation...last time being districts 144, 151, 162, 176, 185, 197, 248, and 283. Also these commission rates are for Base Plus Com only.
The old list was to be implemented for July 15 - Nov 3, but there was a notice to cut it short to end at 9/16. However, there is a new list that's up for the advanced commission items which will be in effect 9/23 - 10/20.
You can locate the list here:
http://d731so.intra.sears.com/expense/Nation_HEadvanced.pdf
if that doesn't work just change the caps.
This list does not mention which districts will be affected by this so I'm assuming that it's just going to be in the previous districts. Anyone have any other inputs on this?
-update-
here's the first page of the sheet.

You know, I was pretty nervous about losing money on my paycheck cause of this whole change in the commission structure, but it seems to be working out pretty good. I mean most of the tvs we carry are 1080p, and we get 5% off of all of them, right? So technically, there is potential to make a lot more money than we had been making before. Course, that's until the shift all of the 1080p tvs out, then we're screwed.

Yea, once they phase out the 1080p as an "advanced," item, I figure that there will be a lot of confusion as to what will qualify as an "advanced," item. I assume though that it would be the LCDs and/or plasmas that have the 120-hrtz feature on them.
And yes, the checks have been quite decent. Sure they are still small compared to those working in Home Appliances, but hey, I'm happy with the increase.
I have a question though. Does anyone know if this is a permanent thing now or is this just an idea they're test piloting on a few districts. I ask because there was another commission's table that show D57 & D03 items that are back down to just about 2% or lower. 2%s being select Sonys and Samsungs.
I actually have a copy of that too.

No, it's only 5% on certain items. Gotta pull up that list from home electronics central. off the top of my head it's the 120hz Samsungs(71 series), XBR4 Sony, Panasonic LiFi, Samsung 52" LCD, Panasonic 42, 50, and 58" 1080p Plasmas, 1080p Samsung plasma, Samsung LED DLP, Sharp 42, 46" 64 series, Sharp 52" LCD.
That's it, everything else is one.

you serious? We had a printout of all the stuff in the advanced category, and there were a lot of tvs in there. If your right, then wow, our checks are really gonna suck...

AFAIK, those are the only TV's that pay 5% right now. There's tons of other stuff that does as well, but the TV selections are limited.
You guys seriously thought you were getting 5% on any 1080p set?

Well I looked at my commission reports on "My Electronic Documents," on the 88sears site and it appears that many things that were not included in the advanced commission's tables were in fact 5% items. To name some off the top of my head, the 40'' V3000 was a 5%, the LG 42'' was 5%, and finally the Vizio 42'' 1080p was 5%.
And those are the ones just off the top of my head.

I think the only people making any kind of a paycheck right now, (and I doubt if it is more than 15,000 dollars a year) are in "A" stores in major metroplitan areas, like state capitals. Most stores are suffering, and if you work in a "B" store, not in a state capital, brother, you aint makin' s--t for a paycheck......how many of you visit "payday loan" places? I haven't heard anyone talk about that....betcha lots of you do.....

I'm not quite up to the point where I would need payday loans yet. I live in the bay area, CA. It's not too bad, but the customers are really smart and know their stuff most of the time. It's really hard to sway them one way or the other. Specifics and features will not move them to shell out any extra cash; their eyes are fixed on that dollar amount.

The program just started on the 23rd, we haven't even gotten paid yet. Unless it's different in your neck of the woods.

42" Panasonic 75597
40" Samsung auto motion plus 71066 (my favorite by the way)

What's up with the Panasonic 42'' 700u not being a part of our stock. Everyone seems to just want that one instead of the 77u we've got.

Sharps 42 and 46 are no longer "special" and are 1% items this month.
Is anyone else making an absolute insane amount of money right now? I easily sold 20k$ worth of 5% items over the last 2 weeks, possibly closer to 30K. They won't do this forever cause it's just way too much money. I'd assume they are getting better kickbacks for the special tv's? I mean, you sell the 720p panny and make 10 bucks, the 1080p one makes you about 60. That's effin crazy when you think about it, right now I rarely pitch something that's not an automotion, or a panny 5% plasma. It's not worth it otherwise.
And fuck that stupid 52" W series up it's ass. One of the few 52" LCD's that only pays 1%, what a crock of bullshit.

Yeah, I hear ya on the 52" W series. I sold about 3 of them a month ago when they were only 2,499 thinking that they were 5%, so I was getting all excited, only to look in the book, and realize they were 1% TV's. I fuckin hate Sears.
But on another note, I did manage to sell a CRAP load of the 42" 1080p Panasonics over the last month. Made roughly 5,000 in commission in November alone. Gotta love that

For those who would like to access the newest updated list of the advanced commissions table, please go to one of the crappy 1998 sears computers and type in the intranet window:
http://d731so.intra.sears.com/expense/HE_advanced.pdf
That will give you the most current and up-to-date list of the commissions tables.
By the way, it was a disappointment when they took 71196 off the advanced commission's table right before Black Friday. I must've sold like 6 of those things. Yeah, Circuit City price match. Apparently our store screwed up big time because it was a "limited quantity," item.
I would not argue that I have screwed our Sears store on that day, but then again, Sears would never take advantage of its workers or throw them under the bus when they run into trouble right?

They also took 71096 the 52" Samsung off the 5% list too. And two Sharps 71195 and 71196.. And didn't tell us until after the fact. Like always. I should have made an extra $500.. =[

I'm fairly certain they did update the list at least a few days in advance. I f'd up and sold a Samsung thinking it was 5. The new list, for what starts on Sunday, should be out wed or thurs. Hopefully no more deletions.

It gets tight starting Sunday.
No more "point and shoot" cameras on the 5% list. Basically all SLR's, very expensive camcorders(though not all of them either) are it for the camera 5%
TV's that are no longer special
56" Lifi
61" Samsung LED DLP
42" Panny 1080p plasma
50" Panny 1080p plasma
50" Samsung 1080p plasma
One new 5% addition, if you've got it....the 50" vizio w/ home theatre bundle. I think it's being phased out, as it's "insufficient quantity" on the POS.
All that's left is the 3 automotion samsungs, the 52" sharp auto-motion, the 2 XBR Sony's. That's it.
And a big FU to those in corporate for deciding not to carry the 52 XBR. People ask about it all the time, and we can't do shit about it.
We're fucked next month.

first there were lots of carrots in front of your face and ina matter of months there are only 3! And they sold this to the draw associates like it was a "one time" decision. How could you possibly leave being grandfathered as a draw associate to go to base +? According to the corporate office, I am in the less than 1% of draw associates in HE anymore. Anyone else on this forum still a draw assocaiate in HE?
