So you can all cry along with me, here's an article about the troubles the rich are having in the economic downturn. The line that really choked me up: "They fear their children won't be invited to the right birthday parties" Very Happy

One of the bloggs has a running series called "Lifestyles Of The Rich And Cranky" that details the trials and tribulations of being not quite as rich as you once were. Some of their whining and bitching is downright hilarious.

-'net worth now only 8 million'

-'had to sell 2 million in diamonds'

On one hand cry cry sniff sniff but on the other hand they say once you had serious money and you loose it things are never the same.Still if you don't realize what an 8 mil net worth or 2 mil in diamonds can do for or what it means maybe you shouldn't even be worrying about or handling money.

I even admire people who spend big without worrying about price or haggling for sales for they contribute to the economy. At least their spending has a goal. But I guess there's not only class envy with a lot of these people but the pressure of trying to stay in that class is just as great as getting there.

OMG! I would love to have their problems. I love how they fear their kids won't get into the right birthday parties. I fear I won't be able to throw mine the right birthday party. $165 sessions with personal trainers?!?! I just wish I could afford to go to the local Y. $350 highlights?!?! $150 haircuts every eight weeks instead of six?!?! WOW! To think I thought my yearly $18 haircut was expensive!

I've always said those people come from an entirely different planet and are an entirely different species than the rest of us. Wink
