The Macys in Novi (a suburb of detroit) is currently going through renovations. They have expanded quite a bit...that mall is pretty upscale too. I am not sure if they are doing this based on business (which i am sure is way down) or just for the heck of it...

My old store was rennovated a few years ago, but only the first floor. They ran out of money, so the bottom floor looks like Rich's, and the top floor looks like Macy's.

Sounds like Macy's at Town Center at Cobb - The bottom is currently being renovated though.
Oh yes, and RIP Bernie Mac. It is Such a shame to loose such a funny person.

Worth a read. Several of our store closures have happened in these areas, and I suspect even more will close. Anyone else live or previously lived in these areas? |
most of these stores were Marshall Fields..the one in NOVI..was Made good profits well it did once upon a time

I'm sure it does, it only carries high end merchandise. I just think that it is bound to see steep drops in sales as the money belt gets tighter... it is the high end merchandise that gets dropped. I used to work at the Briarwood Marshall Fields, they had a much better assortment in my opinion.
