Foreclosure-one could say that is an extreme make over for the individual anyway.

You'd think that people like them would be grateful as hell for the house and the help. Guess not. I saw the same thing when we were overrun by hurricanes Katrina and Rita a couple of years back. Everyone that came here rude, disgusting, and had no respect for anything or anyone. Most were not grateful for a roof over their heads and food on the table, courtesy of the US taxpayers.

The volunteers got suckered in more ways than one.Not only did they give there time to a cause or project they thought was helping someone they also indirectly helped a business(ABC TV) make money.
Without the 'emotion' of the large groups of people helping out Extreme Makeover would be just another do-it-yourself fix it show. So the volunteers are the ones that really got screwed.They waisted their time and lost money by not asking for THEIR piece of the action. |
