I went into my old Sears store the other day and saw that things have not changed. A ton of sales associates standing in the aisles waiting to pounce on the first poor unsuspecting customer that happened to wander down through. The scene was sad.
I worked at Sears part-time for 10 years as an associate in Div. 6 and then moved to Div. 46. One piece of news from my old store is that they are hiring any warm body they can find to occupy an ASM job in that store. The manager over brand central in the old store is a person who started of as a part time hardware associate with no retail experience and within 3 yrs was the new Brand Central ASM. The funny part is that when she was the BC lead she refused to take customer calls and got lost in the mall for hours. Gotta love it !!!
