For those of you that have the holiday game room set up......did you leave the accessories with the tables or did you remove them from the floor? In my store we bagged them all and wrote the # of the table on the bag and put them in the stockroom. In years past it has become a daycare center/hang out place for teenagers with the balls and other stuff out with the tables,so the store mgr. opted to have just the tables on display.May not help though because when ping pong balls or paddles would disappear last year they would just open stock to play. Not just customers either...associates would hang out playing, and as a matter of fact yesterday I had an associate ask where the balls were for the basketball game.Told him it was just a display unit and we didn't have them. It is really tight in that area this year with the increased number of tables we have on display so we can't have customers looking at tables and getting beaned in the head with a flying ping pong ball or basketball. Not to mention the number of parents that would just send their kids off to play while they shopped and expect us to watch them. Now there is nothing for them to play with.Hopefully it will help, except that the toy dept. is right across the aisle and we are already finding toys all over the store where a parent has let the kid play with it until they are done shopping. Bah Humbug!

You think that's bad? Try having the Game Room right next to the Portrait Studio.

We remove them, typically, except that I remember last year, the associates would go and find them and play with the stuff while they were supposed to be working (it was back when we had just a combination lock for the stockroom and everyone knew the combo). This year, I don't know what they'll do since I don't work on that team anymore. They could lock it up in the stockroom. Usually only the hardlines MCAs have the key.

we remove them after one of the pool sticks was used as a flogging stick by a customer on their child.... At least your assembler did not leave a brown streak on the chair he sat on while he did it like ours did. Right in the middle of the seat... And it wasnt even his chair it was one out of store stock!
