What used to be a great promotion has now been rendered meaningless. My advice, "call off".

I don't go to those anymore because it's just another way of keeping the store open for customers. It use to be the employees night but not anymore. Besides I'm not that bad off to buy anything for 10% off.

That's not important! The real question is did you sell $2,000 in PA's and obtain your quota of credit applications and installs.

actually, i made about $800 because i didn't sell many pa's and installations. $800 for a days work is ok for me. Ya, the package pickup guys make about half that for two weeks worth of work.

Keep up with the low PA's and you'll be transfered to package pick up in a few weeks.
BTW, my earlier comments were intended to sound like your manager. Most BC managers couldn't care less how much you sold nor how much you make. Their main concerns are the percentages you post as they would rather you sell $500 in sales with a $50 pa and a credit app., than to sell $20,000 with low PA's.
If thats not bad enough, your high volume came on F&F night which in BC had heavy discounts so your margins will be low. Better get ready for MPU.

I know what you were implying, i was just being sarcastic.
Well, i've been at sears for over 15 years and i get pa's when i want but for last night i was just concentrating on sales and my plan worked. In fact, my pa's are the highest in the department for the year and usually are the highest every, month, year. After working at Sears for so long, i've seen the pa's increase and many other negative changes but us veterans learn to work the system and a 1 month - 5 year associate is like a fish out of water and usually won't last.
As far as what the managers concerns are i frankly don't give a damn. I'm always above parity and across the board my numbers are smoking, not to be arrogant. You are right in that they only care about pa's so i give them what they want and they give me the freedom to do what i want. I have seen 100's of associates who have come and go and seen bc managers fired because they simply don't know how to work the system.

I'm with you on that one, our store was a failure. They treat us like dirt then they want us to smile and spend our money.

I had almost 20 grand on F&F and had almost 2 grand in PA's in appliances. Go me! Another guy was closer to 25 grand, but only had a little over a grand in PA's...

I'm not hating on MPU, it's just the most difficult job in the store and they don't pay the guys enough.

Support jobs are usually staffed by people that refuse to kiss customer's asses. Well, support jobs and LP.
