I don't want to hear any complaints about American attitudes or we're racist-for the most part it stays here.

But apparently the Spanish Olympic Athletes-you know those are supposed to represent the best a country has to offer caught got not once but a second time posing with slant eyes for pictures in there host country http://wordpress.com/tag/racial-gesture/ .

Then I saw something where a Swedish wrestler threw his bronze medal on the mat in protest.I think he was stripped of that medal to.

My favorite is the French swim team saying we're going to crush the Americans-KISS MY ASS

While Americans have never had a monopoly on rudeness abroad, the simple estimation is that many of the Americans who can afford to travel abroad to any extent are quite often the same ones that act rude and superior to the "common" folks here at home and the way they act abroad is simply an extension of a prevailing attitude.

And since so many more Americans CAN afford to travel to other countries than is the opposite case, our rudeness and obnoxiousness gets seen firsthand more often, in more places and by more "common" people.

It's usually only during some wide reaching international event such as the Olympics that the majority of Americans are even exposed to foreigners in any kind of group settings and then only on television, where the least common denominator is always good for getting on the air.

Of course, the Argentine soccer players making the stupid faces will make the screen. Brazilian soccer players NOT mugging for the cameras would be boring. So part of it is what your TV networks choose to show and nobody mentions the fact that those people... just like the Americans who go to Italy or Greece or whatever and act like total assholes... are a rather insignificant percentage of the whole.

It's just that in some restaurant or hotel in Italy or Greece or whatever, the 5000 TV cameras aren't around to turn it into an international incident. Nothing like an audience of billions to warp perspective.

First we had EuroTrash,then there was South American Trash and now...Carribean Trash

A Cuban Tae Kwon Do competitor kicks the referee over a call,his COACH does NOT apologize and both are banned for LIFE-BRAVO!!!

I hope this isn't indictative of the Cubans that tend to get a free pass once they make to American soil.Give me your tired poor hungry etc but please NOT Y O U R TRASH-ooops forgot that Cuba already did that during the Merial Boat Lift.

And I thougt martial arts was as much about discipline and honor-apparently not for this toad.
